Our services

Full Body Skin Checks

Our doctors will take a full history and listen to any specific concerns that you have. You will then be thoroughly examined for any skin cancers and the findings discussed directly with you. If further investigations or treatment is necessary this will be discussed with you. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding the findings and proposed treatment.

Biopsies and Excisions to Diagnose Skin Cancers

Biopsies are taking to confirm the presence of skin cancer. Small biopsies are often taken to confirm non-melanoma skin cancers whereas larger excisional biopsies are often taken to confirm melanoma skin cancers.

Definitive Treatment of Melanoma and Non Melanoma Skin Cancers

Once a diagnosis is confirmed, a definitive treatment plan will be discussed with you. A range of surgical and non-surgical treatments are available at our clinic. We also have very well established relationships with The Melanoma Institute of Australia and other specialists such as Plastic Surgeons if your treatment requires a referral. Fortunately most skin cancers are successfully treated at our clinic without the need for referral to another specialist centre.

Definitive Treatment of Pre-Cancerous Lesions

Our doctors specialise in the early detection of skin cancers and can identify and treat skin lesions that are precursors to skin cancers. Precancerous skin lesions are very common in the Australian population and are easy to treat if detected early. Your treatment options for skin cancer and the precancerous skin lesions will vary, depending on the size, type, depth and location of the lesions. Small skin cancers limited to the surface of the skin may not require treatment beyond an initial skin biopsy that removes the entire growth.

Preventive Treatments

These treatments include prescription medications as well as Photodynamic Therapy(PDT). The suitability of one of these treatment modalities will be discussed with you once a diagnosis is established.

Skin Cancer Education

Please feel free to discuss any questions you may have regarding skin cancer during your consultation. We also have a range of education materials that are available for you to take home with you after your consultation and treatment.

Treatment of Hyperhidrosis

This treatment is highly effective in minimizing this condition. If you suffer from this condition please discuss this with your doctor. Effects usually last 6 to 9 months and can improve your confidence and quality of life substantially.

Anti- Wrinkle Injections

Dr Thelen and our Certified Registered Nurse injector Bianca Baluyot offer this service and your treatment will be done by them personally and not another healthcare provider.
