Dr Christoph Thelen graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He is also a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada and has the post graduate JCPTGP Certificate of the United Kingdom. He has worked in Australia since 1996 and over the past 20 years has worked exclusively in the field of Skin Cancer Medicine.

He has both worked and studied in Australia, South Africa, Canada and the United Kingdom has extensive experience in Skin Cancer Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, General Practice, Aboriginal Medicine and Rural Medicine, He has held several senior medical positions since his arrival in Australia. These include Director of CBD Skin Cancer Clinic since 2009, Medical Superintendent in Queensland for a period of 4 years and Medical Officer in Charge at Canterbury Hospital in Sydney for a further period of 4 years.

Dr Thelen is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand. He has specific training and broad experience in all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of all forms of Skin Cancer. He always keeps abreast of any new developments in this exciting and ever-changing field and regularly takes part in continuing medical education.

In Dr Thelen's free time, he loves sports, especially working out at the gym, running and tennis. He also enjoys spending time with his family, friends and travelling.

Dr Iris Weingarten graduated from the University of Sydney in 1985. She worked both as a registrar in Royal Canberra Hospital and as a consultant for HSA, before moving to work exclusively in Skin Cancer Medicine in the year 2000. She later obtained her Diploma of Dermatology in 2003 from the University of Wales in Cardiff, UK.

Dr Weingarten has owned and operated several Skin Cancer Clinics in Sydney and Regional NSW. She joined CBD Skin Cancer Clinic in 2012 after selling her Skin Cancer Clinics.

She has specific training and broad experience in all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of all forms of Skin Cancers. Dr Weingarten regularly attends Skin Cancer Conferences both in Australia and abroad to keep her knowledge up-to-date.

Dr Weingarten also takes her passionate dedication to skin cancer prevention into her weekends, where you can find her volunteering as the doctor on the tall ship James Craig. When she is not sailing, Dr Weingarten enjoys solving Sudoku and crossword puzzles beside a steaming mug of herbal tea.

Dr Patrick Davis is passionate about Skin Cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. He specialises in offering patients non-surgical treatment options including redlight PDT, as well as gold standard surgical options for skin cancer when required. In more complex cases he liaises with the multidisciplinary team at the Melanoma Institute.

In his earlier years he transferred from Otago University Neuropsychology honours programme with publication in the International Journal of Neuroscience, to Auckland University Medical School, New Zealand. He further honed his skills during his residency at the prestigious Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown, Sydney in 2001. Dr Davis then worked in various specialities, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Coronary Care, Rehabilitation and Psychiatry, in both public and private hospitals.

He developed a special interest in skin cancer medicine over 12 years, and went on to gain specific training in this field, working exclusively in Skin Cancer. He holds an advanced certificate of Dermoscopy, Primary Skin Cancer Medicine, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. A regular attendee of skin cancer conferences and education, Dr Davis seeks to stay on top of all the latest in skin cancer prevention and treatment options.

When Dr Davis is not working, he spends time with his wonderful partner, while chasing their two beautiful sons around the beach. He enjoys creating music, art, and coaching his sons soccer team.
He believes in educating and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their skin health, ensuring a positive impact on their overall well-being.

Dr Hugo Reyes Castillo is a highly trained and experienced medical professional who specializes in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery. He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of San Simon in Bolivia and has worked in both rural and metropolitan medical practices in South America and Australia.

Dr Reyes Castillo practices exclusively in Skin Cancer Medicine and has advanced clinical certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine, Surgery, and Dermoscopy from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. He is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and will soon be obtaining fellowship with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr Reyes Castillo has more than 12 years of experience in Skin Cancer Medicine and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency and is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

After moving to Australia, Dr Reyes Castillo worked for more than 10 years in regional Australia. This area of the country has a particularly high rate of Skin Cancer, and he brings this experience to CBD Skin Cancer Clinic in Sydney. He is committed to providing the highest standard of care to his patients and uses the latest techniques and technologies for optimal outcomes. He has extensive experience in surgical flap repair, split/full-thickness skin graft repair, field therapy, and short-term dermoscopic monitoring of suspicious skin lesions. He is also an expert in the use of Photo Dynamic Therapy for non-surgical management of skin cancer.
